Seth Gollub:
Spring 2014 Distinguished Alumnus Lecture

The SVA Alumni Society presents the distinguished alumnus lecture with Seth Gollub (BFA 2005 Computer Art). Since graduating, Seth has been with the visual effects company Framestore, where he has worked on projects including the Geico Gecko and spots for Coke, Pepsi, FedEx, GE, Dodge and EA, among others. In 2005 he was part of the team that won a Visual Effects Society Award for outstanding character animation in a commercial, music video or television broadcast, for Geico’s “Chat.”

The SVA Alumni Society congratulates the 2014 Alumni Scholarship Award recipients.

Each year the Alumni Society provides a variety of scholarships and awards to students at both the undergraduate and graduate levels in all majors offered by the College. These awards are made possible by contributions received from alumni and friends of the society to the annual Support the Talent campaign. Alumni Scholarship Awards are given to final year students to aid in the completion of final thesis and portfolio projects. Strong Female Protagonists: Panel Discussion Featuring Women in Comics

This event, presented by SVA Career Development, brings together a diverse group of internationally recognized creators and editors for a discussion of the history and dynamics of women working in American comics. The panel features women creators and editors of different generations, including Shelly Bond, executive editor of Vertigo comics; Raina Telgemeier, creator of Smile and Drama; Diane Noomin, creator of Glitz-2-Go and editor of the seminal Twisted Sisters anthologies; and more.
